Sebastian Yanes
MANAGING PARTNER
Sebastian brings 27 years of IP expertise to Partnell, specializing in patents and trademarks within the pharmaceutical industry. He founded and led his own firm prior to co-founding Partnell. Sebastian is also known for his contributions to IP law publications and international IP committees. He is a graduate from Universidad de Alicante Master Lucentinum and is a profesor for the Intellectual Property Specialization at Universidad Monte Avila, Caracas.
Andrés Rivero Baralt
MANAGING PARTNER
Andres, co-founder of Partnell, has over 25 years in telecommunications and IP law. His background includes significant roles in Venezuela's telecommunications reform and extensive management experience at Citemark International IP. He has and Audiovisual MBA from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a Masters in Tech Law from INESDI Barcelona, and is currently a candidate to the specialization in Intellectual Property from Universidad de los Andes (ULA).
Flavia Amoroso
ASSOCIATE
Flavia brings over 12 years of experience in the legal services industry to Partnell, with a strong specialization in Intellectual Property prosecution and dispute resolution. A graduate of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (LLM), she has a demonstrated history of leadership, having previously served as a Partner and in senior management roles at leading IP firms in Venezuela. Flavia is skilled in complex negotiations and manages both local and international accounts, focusing on trademarks and patents.
Juan Luis Astudillo

Juan Luis joins Partnell as an Associate, bringing a comprehensive perspective that merges over 20 years of legal practice with specialized expertise in Innovation Policy. He holds dual specializations in Intellectual Property (ULA) and Innovation Policy & Management (UCV). Juan Luis focuses on strategic IP management, technology transfer, and complex prosecution. Before joining the firm, he served as an IP Prosecution Specialist at a top-tier international firm and held a key legal role at a national scientific development agency, where he designed frameworks for licensing models and plant variety protection. His practice is dedicated to transforming intangible assets—from trademarks to geographical indications—into tangible business advantages.
Juan Luis Rodrigues

Juan Luis has over 20 years of experience in intellectual property. He has acted as IP and exploitation manager in more than 25 collaborative research projects, focusing on converting research outcomes into real-world impact through tailored protection strategies, exploitation planning, and support for commercial uptake. Trained in Venezuela at leading law firms, he brings deep expertise in trademark law, e-commerce regulation, and digital brand enforcement, and currently serves as Of Counsel at Partnell, advising on IP strategy, technology transfer, and innovation-supporting legal frameworks. His work spans biotechnology, sustainable construction, and digital technologies, supporting SMEs, industry partners, and public research organisations by aligning legal, commercial, and scientific strategies to drive collaborative innovation and long-term value creation. He is a graduate of the Universita degli Studi di Torino Master of Laws in Intellectual Property.
