Sebastián González Yanes

MANAGING PARTNER

Sebastian brings 27 years of intellectual property expertise, having built one of Venezuela's most respected pharmaceutical patent and trademark practices. A registered Industrial Property Agent, he founded and led his own firm before co-founding Partnell, where he now serves as Managing Partner. His work spans patent prosecution, trademark strategy, and administrative litigation for clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors before SAPI. He is a regular contributor to intellectual property publications and has represented Venezuelan practice in international IP committees. Sebastian is a graduate of the Lucentinum program at Universidad de Alicante and teaches Intellectual Property at Universidad Monte Ávila's IP Specialization program in Caracas.

Juan Luis Astudillo Martinez

ASSOCIATE

Juan Luis joins Partnell as an Associate, bringing over 20 years of legal practice, with a focused specialization in intellectual property since 2018. He holds a specialization in Intellectual Property from ULA and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Private and Comparative International Law at UCV. His practice centers on strategic IP management, technology transfer, and complex prosecution. Before joining the firm, Juan Luis served as an IP Prosecution Specialist at a top-tier international firm and held a key legal role at a national scientific development agency, where he designed frameworks for licensing models and plant variety protection. His work is dedicated to transforming intangible assets—from trademarks to geographical indications—into tangible business advantages.

Andrés Rivero Baralt

MANAGING PARTNER

Andres co-founded Partnell and brings over 25 years of experience at the intersection of telecommunications and intellectual property law. A registered Industrial Property Agent, his background includes significant roles in Venezuela's telecommunications reform and extensive management experience at Citemark International IP. Andres holds an Audiovisual MBA from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a Master's in Technology Law from INESDI Barcelona, and is currently pursuing a specialization in Intellectual Property at Universidad de los Andes (ULA).

Juan Luis Rodrigues Quintero

OF COUNSEL

Juan Luis brings over 20 years of experience in intellectual property, with a distinctive focus on converting research outcomes into commercial impact. He has served as IP and exploitation manager in more than 25 collaborative research projects, focusing on tailored protection strategies, exploitation planning, and support for commercial uptake. Trained in Venezuela at leading law firms, he brings deep expertise in trademark law, e-commerce regulation, and digital brand enforcement. Juan Luis currently serves as Of Counsel at Partnell, advising on IP strategy, technology transfer, and innovation-supporting legal frameworks. His work spans biotechnology, sustainable construction, and digital technologies, supporting SMEs, industry partners, and public research organizations in aligning legal, commercial, and scientific strategies to drive collaborative innovation and long-term value. He is a graduate of the Università degli Studi di Torino's Master of Laws in Intellectual Property.

Flavia Amoroso De Sena

ASSOCIATE

Flavia brings over 12 years of experience in the legal services industry to Partnell, with a strong specialization in Intellectual Property prosecution and dispute resolution. A graduate of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (LLM) and a registered Industrial Property Agent, she has a demonstrated history of leadership, having previously served as a Partner and in senior management roles at leading IP firms in Venezuela. Flavia is skilled in complex negotiations and manages both local and international accounts, focusing on trademarks and patents.
